Gingerbread Village Series

I am currently working on a series called Gingerbread Village, you will see some of these patterns I stitched as individual pieces in my last blog which you can find here

However, I am now completing this as a one piece and I have completed house 1 and 2.

Country Cottage Needleworks Gingerbread Village house 1.

Country Cottage Needleworks Gingerbread Village house 2.

House 1 and 2 together.  I am currently completing house number 3 and hope to have this finished this weekend.

I have also had some 'happy mail', I did warn you I was now addicted.

Here I have a selection of Madame Chantilly, Lizzie Kate, With Thy Needle and Thead and the last in the series I needed to complete my Gingerbread Village series from Country Cottage Needleworks.  Plenty to keep me busy for the coming months.

Thanks for looking.  Take care of you.

Long Time Away

Wow!  I can’t believe it’s been so long since I last blogged. So much has happened and so many changes in my life, much like everyone else.

I am no longer a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, it was getting too costly for me and life was too busy so I had to make the decision to resign.  Whilst being part of a group of likeminded people truly is a wonderful experience equally it can be a challenge to promote and share what you consider as fabulous products and make some semblance of a business successful.  I have no regrets and wish on going succes to those who continue to work hard with the company.

More recently I have taken up crossstitch and prior to Christmas I made 3 Christmas tree ornaments which I absolutely love.

All my projects have been from Country Cottage Needleworks patterns so far but I have purchased a few patterns from other companies such as Madame Chantilly and Lizzie Kate, I can't wait to get started on them.

Firstly though here are photos of patterns I have completed.

Country Cottage Needleworks which is a part of the Ginger Bread Village series, this is Gingerbread Train.  I completed this as a stand alone and I still need to fully finish it as a cushion.

Country Cottage Needleworks Fa La La finished before Christmas as an ornament for my Christmas tree.

Country Cottage Needleworks Dear Santa, also finished as an ornament for my tree.

How cute is this?  The hanger was made too long so I added beads to it in order to shorten it.  Country Cottage Needleworks Merry Merry.

All of these ornaments were sewn on 32 count Belfast linen in cream.

Country Cottage Needleworks - Gingerbread Girl and Peppermint Tree, also a part of the Gingerbread Village series. I still need to completely finish this off too.

Then for a huge challenge I did this as part of a Stitch A Long, it is Forest Snowfall also from Country Cottage Needleworks.  This is currently being fully finished off and I will update you more later with this.  This was completed using 28 count Cashel linen in Confederate Grey.

I have joined a monthly club where these wee beauties are sent each month.  Firstly there is Racoon Cabin and then Snowy Deer.  I still need to finish these off too, as you can see I need to get my sewing skills improved so I can display these in my home.  I completed these in 32 count Zweigart Belfast linen in Pearl Grey.

These have been great fun.  I hope you have enjoyed looking at them.  If you have any questions please get in touch.

Take care of you.
