Colour Q Challenge

Today's card has been made for this week's Colour Q challenge.

I started with the new Stampin' Up! thicker white card for card bases.  I then die cut using the Flower Flair die set one of the larger flowers in the Rich Razzleberry.  I then cut into this to make more defined petals cutting some wedges out around the flower.   I then used the thinner centre die in Rich Razzleberry again I layered this onto the larger flower.

Using the dotty stamp from the Perfect Pennant stamp set I stamped using Wisteria Wonder then using the smaller centre die from the Flower Flair set and raised it on a foam dot layered it onto the flower centre.  I then used one of the Antique Faceted button and a Glue Dot to adhere this.

I stamped the tag in Wisteria Wonder using Pinstripe from My Favorite Things and die cut this using a Pierced Tag die from Die-namics.  I layered black Bazzill card behind. The fern leave is Pool Party and I used the Bouquet Bigz die to make this.   The 'hello' is also black Bazzill card die cut using the Hello You set from SU.

Inside is a die cut stitched mat and more of the die cut centres I used for the flower on the front, one each in Wisteria Wonder, Rich Razzleberry and Blackberry Bliss.  Rhinestones have been added to embellish and a Rich Razzleberry Candy Dot.

Why not head over to the Colour Q blog HERE and see some other great inspirational cards.

Take care of you.

Pals Paper Arts Weekly Challenge

Today's card I have made for the Pals Paper Arts weekly challenge using some awesome Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper, which is definitely on my wish list.  I received some from a kind friend as she knows me so well lol.

I used the gold sample and made a tag embellishing this with white bakers twine and a Vintage Designer Faceted Buttons, both from SU.

I used these small gold sequin which were a fantastic purchase at Dunelm Mill for 49p, bargain.  The pink card is Pink Pirouette from SU which has been gold heat embossed using My Favorite Stamps Abstract Background stamp.

I used the reverse of the tag paper which is a fun polka dot and gold glimmer paper from SU and stapled this using my SU mini stapler and used a gold Sharpie to make this gold.

Using the thin Blueprints 18 die I used some more of the paper to add an accent for the inside layered under a die cut using Die-namics Stitched Rectangle die.

Great fun.  Why not head over to the Pals Paper Arts blog HERE and check out other projects.See you back here tomorrow for another card.  Take care of you.

Timeless Elegance Card

Recently I bought the most gorgeous paper collection from Stampin' Up! called Timeless Elegance. It's always a bit scary cutting into paper you adore for the first time, weird but true I'm sure you all agree.   Here is today's card.

The envelope is stamped using Tip Top Taupe, a butterfly front and back.

The card base is the new thicker Stampin' Up! Whisper White specially for card bases.

Inside I die cut Very Vanilla and Tip Top Taupe in the Stitched Rectangle dies from Die-namics and My Favorite Things.

I used my Die-namics die to cut the base using the large stitched die from the Blueprints 15 collection.  I then cut two pieces of the Designer Series Paper around 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" each.  I adhered these to the page leaving a gap at the top to place the peg.  The peg is secured with a glue dot.

The butterflies are die cut from Tip Top Taupe and velum using the Sizzix Basic Shapes Bigz die.  The was then placed on foam dots and rhinestones added to embellish.  A foam dot was also placed between the butterflies to add depth and dimension.

I took some Whisper White and some retired DSP and made flags which were stapled together using my new stapler from SU.  I stamped my sentiment in Tip Top Taupe and added rhinestones.  The flag ends of the flags were raised onto foam dots to lift them off the page and secured at the stapled end onto the page.

I hope you have enjoyed today's card and your day has been good to you.  Take care of you.

Tip Top Taupe Sublime

Today's card is a mix of Tip Top Taupe from Stampin' Up!, Die-namics from My Favorite Things of course, and yellow card from Bazzill and DCWV.   Here it is.

I used the Die-namics die Stripes Cover Up from MFT Stamps and Tip Top Taupe from SU. I replaced the inlays with Whisper White from SU.  I then adhered this to yellow Bazzill card stock, which has been die cut using the large stitched die from Die-namics Blueprints15 set.

The butterfly is die cut from Sizzux Basic Shapes Bigz die using DCWV Collage Stack. This paper stack has never been released in the UK and I had a friend ship it from the U.S. especially for me. It has been a great collection, well loved and well used.  The tag is Mint Macaron from SU die cut using the Pierced Tag Stax from Die-namics.

The heart is also from the Basic Shapes die using SU emboss resist paper that was available during Sale A Bration. This has been placed in a Dimensional from SU, as has the butterfly. Silver thread has been used behind the butterfly, this is also from SU.

Lastly stickers from Tim Holtz, tiny butterflies using a punch from my stash and rhinestones from SU have been used to embellish the card.

On the inside the same tiny butterflies have been punched from the Bazzill card with rhinestones added to adorn them.

I hope you have enjoyed today's card. Please leave a comment if you wish and come back tomorrow for another card.  Take care of you.

Colour Q Weekly Challenge

This was a tough one for me.  I had the concept in my head but I played around with different variations before I decided on the final one.  Equally I thought I had found a close replica of a colour but the ink then came out darker than I had hoped but I had committed myself.  Lots of processing, playing around and much tougher than I expected, so brilliant! It's good to be challenged.

Looks kind of simple now it's finished doesn't it lol.

So, the background stamp is Sweater Stitch from My Favorite Things and stamped in Crisp Cantaloupe ink from Stampin' Up!  It was this that looked much paler and I thought it would be a good substitute for Apricot Appeal but it's much more orange, he ho.  The Night of Navy is my vest last scrap but the card needed it to help balance the colours out.

The substitute for More Mustard is very close.  I think this is a Bazzill card stock, which I have had in my stash for years.  The tags were made using Die-namics Pierced Tags Stax.  The smaller stack was stamped in Night of Navy using Typewriter Text stamp from MFT.  The butterfly is a die from SU called Bold Butterfly and this is in the tiniest smidging of Calypso Coral I had left.  I then added silver ribbon, a Vintage Faceted Designer Button, adhered with a Glue Dot, and rhinestones to embellish, all from SU.  The words are stickers from Tim Holtz and the peg is from my stash.

Here is the inside.

I hope you have enjoyed this card and if you would like to see more head over to Colour Q click HERE

Hope you are having a great day, take care of you.

My Favorite Things Weekly Challenge

I am so behind in my blogs as I was away at the weekend. Here is a card I made yesterday for this challenge.

When I came home on Monday I had received 'happy mail' - Whimsical Wishes from of course #mftstamps so I had to use this in my card.

The background was multiple,e stamped and then heat embossed I. Silver.  Stampin' Up! Hello You die set was used for the sentiment as is all the card.

The tag is from the Piercec Tag Stax and the hearts are from Fluttering Heart, both Die-namics, and the larger heart is from the Border Hearts punch from Stampin' Up!

Why not head over to MFT Sketch Challenge HERE and see more great project.

Great fun. Enjoy your day. Take care of you.

You're The Best

I am so addicted to making cards right now and using both My Favorite Things and my Stampin' Up! products is it any wonder.  Here is one I made yesterday and will be placing this into the MFT sketch challenge, my second entry and I am also submitting it to the new MFT Summer School challenge!

The base is Smoky Slate from Stampjn' Up! die cut from yep you guessed Blueprints 15 large stitched die.  Sweater Knit was then stamped with VersaMark, clear heat embossed then die cut and layered onto the base card.  I used a die from Blueprints 15.

A Stitched Round Rectangle die was used with retired DSP from SU.  A Watercolor Wings butterfly was stamped using 4 layers in Sahara Sand, Mint Macaron, Daffodil Delight then Midnight Muse in the centre.  This  was then die cut using the coordinating die.  A glassine butterfly was then die cut using the 2nd butterfly die from the set, adhered then pearl accents added.  Silver foil paper from SU was then used to die cut a Scribbles, which was adhered only in the centre with Glossy Accents before the butterfly was layered on top of a strip of Dimentionals.

Here is a side view where you can see all the layers.  A white peg from my stash was adhered using a Glue a Dot with a strip of silver foil hearts held underneath.  I used the Hearts Border punch from SU to achieve this.  The punched hearts were then adhered to the card using Glossy Accents.

Inside I again die cut layers in Smoky Slate and Whisper White with stitched dies then stamped a sentiment in Black Archival ink from the Watercolor Words stamp set.  Hearts were then added to embellish, two smaller in silver foil and a larger one using the Itty Bitty punch.  This was embossed silver on Whisper White using a Woodgrain stamp I had left from a previous project.  You can check that out here

As always my envelopes or not left and this one has hearts punched out in coordinating card and paper.  Great fun, I love keeping busy and seemed to have gotten over my blind spot from yesterday without the need for doing gardening, although the garden really needs done lol.

Happy days.  Take care of you.

Pals Paper Arts Weekly Challenge

This week over at Pals Paper Arts the weekly challenge is all about colours.  This week's colours are

so here is what I have made.

I had just finished a FaceTime with family in USA and was reminded of a wee boy's birthday coming up so here was my excuse to get playing.

Balloons are everywhere just now, do I have any, nope so I made my own lol.  I used my now go to favourites Blueprints 15 die set and using the heart die cut 3 hearts for my balloons. For the background I used my next new favourite new for my own birthday today and stamped with Sweater Knit from My Favorite Things, believe it or not in Real Red!

I then die cut 3 "happy"'s from Stampin' Up! Pacific Point card, adhered them together with Crystal Effects to create great depth and dimension and adhered this to the background with the Crystal Effects also.   The "birthday" I stamped in Pacific Point ink using the Rotary Alphabet stamp from Stampin' Up! also. This was raised on foam dots.

This wee dancing dude is a Stampotique stamp who I love dearly. He is my go to stamp for little dudes. I stood him in Nlsck Archival ink fussy cut him out and raised him on foam dots. I was instructed by my daughter not to colour him in so that is why he has been left naked lol. String I had in my stash was then adhered to the back of the balloons using a glue dot then positioned behind his hand to look like he is holding on to them.

I die cut out of silver foil also this wee guy's dance floor using a die from the Blueprints 15 set.

Inside I die cut Pacific Point card out and rather than layering with white card I decided we will write in white pen instead. So I hand wrote a wee sentiment instead and will fill it out tomorrow before posting it off.

So that's my card. Why not head over to the Pals Paper Arts paper and check out what everyone else has been creating. Click here

Thanks for dropping by. Take care of you.
