TGIF Challenge

This week over at #tgif the colour challenge this week is Basic Gray, Pool Party and Daffodil Delight. Here is what I made.

I wanted to make a more masculine card, hard for someone who automatically reaches for sequin and butterflies lol. 

I used Basic Gray ink with a new stamp from My Favorite Things, Cheesecloth. I love this stamp and I think like all the other background stamps from MFT it will be versatile and be well used. 

I stamped my Typewriter Text stamp, MFT, in Pool Party and die cut this using a Die-namics Pierced Tag die.  I also die cut a Daffodil Delight circle using a Dienamics Zig Zag Circle die.   Foam Dimentionals were added to this to create layering. 

I used the Hello You die set to make the 'happy' and used black Bazzill card stock for this.  I then used my Rotary stamp from Stampin' Up! to stamp 'birthday' and layered this with white card to make the banners.  All these were layered together to create the card.  I found it difficult not to add a butterfly but I still had to add some embellishments so chose sequin from Teresa Collins Urban Market collection in grey and black and white.

Hello

This is a standard A2 size card.  The inner rectangle has been stamped using Grout Gray and Typewriter Text stamp, both from My Favorite Things.

The butterfly has been die cut using Bold Butterfly die set, the silver thread, Hello You sentiment and foil heart banners at the side are all from Stampin' Up!  The circle is die cut using Zig Zag Circle die set from Die-namics and stamped in Mint Macaron from Stampin' Up! using Sweater Stitch stamp from MFT.  All have been raised on Dimensionals to create layers and interest.

Inside the tag was made using die set Pierced Tags from Die-namics and Mint Macaron card from SU.

Leave A Little Sparkle

The word 'Sparkle' and the sequin have been first stamped with VersaMark then heat embossed with Stampin' Up! silver embossing powder.  Additional sequin have been added from Stampin' Up!  The button is Vintage Faceted Button from Stampin' Up! and the butterfly has been die cut using Bold Butterfly, also from Stampin' Up!

The background stamp is Sweater Stitch and stamped in Grout Gray, both from My Favorite Things.  The blue ink is Night Of Navy from Stampin' Up! used in the sentiment and with Typewriter Text stamp from MFT in the tag.  The tag and rectangle dies are from Die-namics. 

The silver glimmer paper and foil paper are from Stampin' Up!

New Cards New Products

I cannot get enough of My Favorite Things right now.  I am loving their background stamps and dies so much I bought more with my birthday money.  Here are two cards I made straight away when this packages hit the mat.
