Pals Paper Arts Weekly Challenge

Today is the first day in what seems forever I have had a chance to participate in blogs and get some card making done.  I fear I have lost my mojo a bit as I have had 6 weeks of awful back/sciatic pain but good strong painkillers and some Bowen therapy is helping sort me out.

The blogs I follow and participate in work so hard and despite fearing I'm off my game I still want to enter to ensure a good response and to be supportive.   Here is what I have made.

I used A Wink Of Stella on the pegs and the White Perfect Accents, which have been coloured gold with a Sharpie to add some subtle sparkly glitter.

Navy and Crushed Curry Card

Do any of you start with a concept in your head, or a design, and when you're finished it is nothing like you started with, with this card that's what happened lol.  I started with a very firm idea of what I thought I wanted and an hour later it's entirely different.  Ah well just as well I like the finished result.

When I started I was having a white 'you', then it was navy and lastly it's Smoky Slate.  I wasn't having a peg then I did and where the navy triangle came from I have no idea, it just happened all on its own bwhahaha.

The background I very lightly stamped with Antique Linen Distress Ink using a Gorgeous Grunge stamp.

'Just One' Stamp Set Extravaganza!

To celebrate the start of Stampin' Up!'s Sale-A-Bration every day for the next week I am going to post a different way of making use of 'just one' stamp set.

So join me every day and check out how versatile 'just one' stamp set can really be. 

The stamp set I am going to use is this one:

...... 'Best Day Ever'.  Doesn't look like much I hear you say, well hopefully by the end of 7 days you will change your mind. 

So here is Day 1:

This is a cute box in Kraft card that comes in a set of 25, which I had also used as my advent calendar this year. 

I have wrapped round our gold foil paper then Bermuda Bay card stock. 

I also used our gold sequin and the Bow Builder punch with our gold glitter paper. To make the tag I also used Bermuda Bay card and Whisper White and stamped the saying 'You made My Day' in Crushed Curry ink.  To finish it off I used our gold ribbon and secured it to the top of the box using a glue dot. 

This would make a great wee gift box for someone special.
