Colour Q Weekly Challenge

Today's card I have made for the Colour Q challenge and what a challenge it was. I struggle when I am challenged to leave my usual colour palette but I am happy with how this card turned out.

I used Wisteria Wonder card and ink, So Saffron card and ink, Bermuda Bay and Twisted Tangelo inks.

To embellish I used some Wink Of Stella on the Wisteria Wonder hearts and enamel dots from my stash.

Why not check out other designs over in the Colour Q blog.

I hope you have enjoyed this card and hope to see you back here tomorrow for another card.  Take care of you.

Colour Q Weekly Challenge

This week's Colur Q challenge to me epitomises summer.  This colour combo is fresh, citrus and pure sunshine.  Here is my interpretation.

Hello Honey for the background and large Scribble flower, So Saffron for the smaller Scribble flower with the white background, Bermuda Bay for the tag and the "happy" and instead of Peach Parafait I used Dried Marigold Distress Ink.  I also coloured white card using the Dried Marigold then die cut a Scribble flower from this, top left of the tag.

Bermuda Bay sequin added to embellish the card and "BIRTHDAY" stamped using the Rotary Alphabet stamp in Basic Black.

Side view to appreciate the layers.

The Scribble flowers from MFT Whimsical Wishes stamp set using Dried Marigold and a Tim Holtz sticker for inside the card.

Why not head over to the Colour Q blog and see what others have been creating.  See you tomorrow for another card.  Take care of you.

Pals Paper Arts Weekly Challenge

Today's card was such great fun, I pulled out my Aqua brush  and created brush strokes across the card using colour combo Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe, Pool Party and Bermuda Bay.  Here it is.

I then used Bermuda Bay, Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaron card die cut hearts and added rhinestones to embellish.  I love simple but forget it can be just as gorgeous as lots of layers sometimes lol.

Why not head over to the Pals Paper Arts blog,  and check out the other projects.

Hope you're having a great day.  Take care of you.

Gold and Mint Macaron Cotton Paper Card from Stampin' Up!

Today's card is fun, interactive and every glitter girls inner child.  Stampin' Up! have brand new cotton paper which feels like tissue paper.  It is gorgeous.

The front layer of velum has been heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  All the pages are made to resemble notepad paper crested by using my Cinch and then snipping into the holes.

Here are some SU Bermuda Bay sequin.  Love it.

Here is the new cotton paper.  It is adorable.

The glitter bow paperclip was made using the Bow Builder punch, hot glued and the tails double layered so it looks good from both sides.  There are more Bermuda Bay sequin on the inside too.  The top of each layer has been raised on Dimensionals to help create definition and interest.

Great fun and I'm sure the receiver will love it.  I would.

Take care of you.

Watercolour Wonder

Today's card I have used one of my favourite techniques; watercolouring.  I use an Aqua brush and paint the lines and I have used three different colours, Mint Macaron a new in colour for 2015/217, Pool Party and Bermuda Bay inks.

I then adhered this to Lost Lagoon card to coordinate with the inks.  I then used my 1" circle punch to punch a circle from pink card from my stash, very similar Blushing Bride. I then took a piece of gold velum and separated it to create two flags.  I adhered some white cotton with Crystal Effects and put the butterfly punched from the Elegant Butterfly punch onto half a  Dimentional placing this on top.

The sentiment has been embossed with gold embossing powder die cut and layered onto another piece of Lost Lagoon card then Dimentionals added to create some depth.  Gold sequin were also added adhered with Crystal Effects.

Inside the card has been stamped in Mint Macaron.  Sorry, this stamp set has since retired.

This card is been made especially for the TGIF weekly challenge.  This week it is a mash up of the previous weeks.  Here are the challenges.

Can you guess which I used?

Happy Sunday everyone.

Last week at work was pretty tough for my colleagues and I so to bring a little happiness into work I made treats for them.

These are 3 1/2" x 2" treat boxes using some retired Designer Series Paper, co-ordinating cardstock and of course treats.

I also used butterfly punch and stamps, Papillion Potpourri and Fabulous Phrases,  Bermuda Bay ribbon and Coastal Cabana ink.

So I hope my colleagues enjoy their treats.  Hope your weekend has been  kind to you.  Take care of you.

'Just One' Stamp Set Extravaganza!

To celebrate the start of Stampin' Up!'s Sale-A-Bration every day for the next week I am going to post a different way of making use of 'just one' stamp set.

So join me every day and check out how versatile 'just one' stamp set can really be.

The stamp set I am going to use is this one:

...... 'Best Day Ever'.  Doesn't look like much I hear you say, well hopefully by the end of 7 days you will change your mind.

So here is Day 1:

This is a cute box in Kraft card that comes in a set of 25, which I had also used as my advent calendar this year.

I have wrapped round our gold foil paper then Bermuda Bay card stock.

I also used our gold sequin and the Bow Builder punch with our gold glitter paper. To make the tag I also used Bermuda Bay card and Whisper White and stamped the saying 'You made My Day' in Crushed Curry ink.  To finish it off I used our gold ribbon and secured it to the top of the box using a glue dot.

This would make a great wee gift box for someone special.

I hope you have enjoyed Day 1's project. If you would like to leave a comment please do so as I love to hear what people think.  Also if your interested in any of the products I have used check out my shop by clicking the tab at the top or click on the product below.

I hope you are having a wonderful day. Take care of you.
