Want to join a blog hop?

Hi all
I am hoping you may consider joining a blog hop?

Have you ever heard of "The Creative Blog Hop?" It is a blog hop that is held only on Mondays, every Monday. I'm not sure who started it but a few days ago I was invited to join the hop by Joanne James (the crafty owl) and I accepted her invitation. Part of my participating is to then choose three more bloggers and "tag" them to be it on a future post and I am choosing you as one of my three!

Basically, it's a great way to have an ongoing and never-ending hop to introduce each other to our readers, make new friends and broaden our list of blog artists. I enjoy reading lots of people's blogs who offer different craft styles from myself as they offer me creative ideas that I can transfer into my own style.  With all your amazing talent's I would love to have you as one of the three bloggers that I share in my post!  I have asked a couple of people already but uncertain if they wish to participate and I don't want to unduly put pressure onto people who may already be participating in blog hops or are trying to keep your own blog uptodate, it's not easy I know especially with our already busy lives.

In brief:

On Monday 1st Sept, I will do a post about The Creative Blog Hop and answer these four questions:
1.      What am I working on now?
2.      How does my work differ from others in my genre?
3.      Why do I create what I do?
4.      How does my creative process work?

Our posts can be as long and descriptive or short and sweet as we choose. At the end of that, I will then introduce three more bloggers - and hopefully (if you accept my invitation) you will be one of them!

You will then do a similar post on Monday, September 8th and answer the same questions and then invite three more crafters. You will give them instructions like I am giving you (copy and paste if you want to!) and tell them that they will do their post on the next Monday, and so on and on.

If you decide to accept my invitation, please send me a short bio as soon as possible, but by Saturday, August 30th at the latest. My post will go live on Monday, 1st Sept. (Again, your post will not go live until Monday, September 8th).

I hope that some of you would love this opportunity, I know I am really chuffed, to be a part of this Hop and that you'll agree to be tagged by me and jump into this never-ending continuous Creative Blog Hop on September 1st!! Thank you for considering it - I hope to hear from you with a big ‘yes’ by return!!

Cute Notelets Using Stampin' Up! Products

A few weeks ago I made these notelets.  I hadn't realised I had not put them up on my blog so rectifying that now.

I made a few of them and I am loving Gorgeous Grunge right now, I think it's perfect as a background stamp.

I used Choc Chip and Tempting Turquoise cardstock on a Whisper White card.  The ink is Crumb Cake and Choc Chip.  I used my Petite Petals punch adhering them onto the card with glue dots.  The rhinestones are from my stash.

These cards measure 4"x4".

Purple and Gold

Today's cards I have used my Elegant Butterfly and my Itty Bitty punches from Stampin' Up!

First I stamped my butterfly using Elegant Eggplant ink and the Papillion Potpurri stamp set then made my card using Very Vanilla and Elegant Eggplant cardstock.  I then used Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and Sahara Sand ink to create the background.  I stamped 'best friend' also in Elegant Eggplant ink from the Fabulous Phrases stamp set and then using the Modern Label punch adhered it onto the card using dimensionals.  Once dry, I punched out my butterfly using the coordinating Elegant Butterfly punch.

The gold card is from my stash and using the Itty Bitty punch I punched 5 flowers.  I used the round end of a paint brush and gentle pushed the punched flowers onto the back of my ink scrubbing mat, which is made of dense foam.  I then added the self adhering pearls into the middle of each flower, rolled up a glue dot and then adhered the flower onto the card.  To add that extra bit of glamour I stamped smaller coordinating butterflies onto the front and back of the envelopes.

I love how these turned out.  What do you think?  I hope you are all having a wonderful .

Take care of you.

Midnight Muse and Silver

Today's cards I used Midnight Muse cardstock and ink, silver glimmer paper, a heart punch and white embossing powder to create these cards.  The stamp is from Express Yourself, one card has been stamped with Midnight Muse ink and the other heat embossed with white embossing powder.  The white card has been layered between the white card and blue card layer with stamping dimensionals and the on the blue card all the hexagons have been layered using the dimensionals.  All the hearts have been popped up with itty bitty dimensionals.  The envelopes have a midnight muse designer series paper liner inserted, which has been die cut from the envelope liner die.

I am loving this blue with silver it is sleek and spectacular.

All these goodies are from Stampin' Up! and can purchased from my online shop, just click on a tap at the top of the page.  Hope you love them as much as I do.

Take care of you x

It's All About Silver

My cards today are all about silver glimmer paper from Stampin' Up!

I made two cards in different styles tonight.

This card I used Coastal Cabana ink and card and using the Hearts and Stars masks and a finger dauber I stencilled in the stars.  I used a medium and large star punch and also silver pigment ink with the mask on the inside to add a subtle accent.  I love the sequin, they really make the card sparkle.

This card I used Baked Brown Sugar, Pool Party and Whisper White card and Pool Party and Crumb Cake ink.  The front sentiment is from Hello Love and the inside stamp is from my stash.  I also decorated both envelopes to pull the card and envelope together.  I like this touch as it ensures the envelope is equally a welcomed touch too.

I hope you enjoy these cards, leave a comment if you wish.  I hope today has been kind to you.  Take care of you.

Flower Card with a Gold Accents

Tonight I have been making more cards.  I used Baked Brown Sugar card stock and Petite Petals punch.  The background cardstock and flowers are Whisper White.

First using Crumb Cake ink I stamped the card using a stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.  I love this set as they provide wonderful background accents without being too intrusive into the rest of the card.  Using a sponge dauber, Crumb Cake and Soft Sky ink I then highlighted around the edges of each flower.  Using the back of my inkpad scrubbing pad and the end of a round pencil I pressed the flowers into the foam backing to make the flowers curl.  I then used Candy Dots and adhered these to the middle of the flowers and adhered the flowers using glue dots to the card.

I then used my leaf scoring tool from my Susan's Garden toolkit and scrap pieces of gold card, which were remnants from die cutting Christmas words I cut a few days ago to make some Christmas cards. I am a terrible person for not throwing away even the tiniest scrap of paper and on this occasion I am really glad as these leave shapes in gold I think make these cards simply amazing.

So of course the 'amazing you' was then heat embossed using gold embossing powder.

All these products can be purchased from me.  Please click on the tab link above and this will take you directly to the Stampin' Up! order site.

I hope you have had a great day.  Take care of you.

Blushing Bride And Gold

Today I have made another two cards.  I used Blushing Bride ink and gold embossing powder both from Stampin' Up!   I used the framelits set, which you can also purchase, some gold bakers twine and some stamps from the Point and Click set to embellish.

I used an embossing folder from my stash to add layers and depth.  I love these, so pretty.

Hope you are having a great day.  Take care of you.
