Graphic 45 Design Team 2014 Application

I don't know how to explain to you the excitement I feel right now.  Yesterday I had an interview for a new job.  I didn't get it.  The feedback was I didn't show enough interest in the company I was applying for and too much about my skills and experiences.  It's true, I didn't.  Probably because I wasn't passionate about them, I really just wanted a different job and not really that one.

I realised this when I received an email regarding this call and the smile on my face hit each side of the room, I screamed "yes" and wanted to cry.  No I haven't been picked but the passion I feel for this company, to me and I hope to you, is evident in every creation I make.  To me it comes to life, just like myself when I see every new page, every stamp, every tiny wee scrap of paper when I sweep the floor and think ooh I can still use this and every single time I find the backing from pop dots inside my bed.  So please find below some of my most favourite best loved creations.

Steampunk Spells: I waited sooo impatiently for this collection and LOVED every minute creating this album and rather large altered wooden box for it, hidden just like a real spell book would be.

and with the album inside.....

Here is a G45 staples 8x8 book, which I made into a calendar, which sits proudly on my desk at work.

Old Curiosity Shoppe.  What can I say, so, so much fun.  A victorian doctors bag, quenches my need for handbags, a fun storage box for a mini inside with my very own prescription pads inside.  Eclectic, humerous and completely indulgent.

ABC Primer.  How best can one re-live their school days.  Chalkboard painted cover, a travel globe to help the dream for travel and wonder and notepad photo mats, special.  All that is missing is an apple.

Bah Humbug.  Project for guest designer blog, can never be complete without some of my favourite papers, can you find them?

A Ladies Diary.  How ever did we live before this collection.  I have used this collection so many times.  This album was a commission and currently lives in South Africa, truly global.

No Christmas can ever be complete without The Nutcracker Sweet and this too will become a family tradition for ever and ever just like turkey and sprouts.

ABC Primer shadow box for granny's christmas.....

and presents for teachers, and the last one for me lol.

This will always be a special album for me.  This took me such a long time and was only my 2nd Graphic 45 piece.  My mum is so special to me and I made this for her.   Thank you Anne for your amazing tutorials.

So there we are.

All of my project can be found in more depth within my blog.  Here are the links :

You are absolutely correct in that your love for G45 shines through in these projects, and I for one have been really inspired by your work. I'm starting to do more and more altered art now,and G45 remains at the top of my list for paper collections! :-) x

    1. Thank you so much. It almost feels a bit like cheating cos using these collections it feels so easy. I wish I had money to buy more but alas hit a bit of a wall. I will do more with G45 regardless of outcome, how could I not. Am so glad you have found inspiration in my work, that means a lot xxx

  2. Your post today is like walking through an art museum, Pauline! I enjoyed every moment of seeing both G45 and Stampotique, two of my most favorite art inspirations! In your hands, they quickly become works of art. And, yes, I can feel your passion, my friend!
