Happy Birthday

I am so in love with my Die-namics dies right now, I'm getting kind of obsessed lol.  Today's card used lots of die cutting, both Die-namics and Stampin' Up!  Here it is.

I have used the Stripes Cover Up die with black card over Whisper White.  I used the stitched circle from the Blueprints 15 set to create two of the flowers and my 1 3/4" punch from SU for the larger one.  I used my Scribbles die for inside the flowers in Whisper White and a cream card from the Co-ordinations pack from Graphic 45.  The leaves are from the Flower Patch die set from SU.

The "hello" die has been die cut three times in white and adhered with Glossy Accents.  Dimensionals have been used throughout.

The leaves here are from the Bouquet Bigz die from SU.

The "birthday" was stamped using my SU Rotary alphabet stamp and die cut using Stitched Rectangles from Die-namics.  Rhinestones have been added to embellish.

I hope you have enjoyed this card and I hope you will return tomorrow to see another card then.  Take care of you.

Stampin' Up! Meets Heidi Swapp II

Did you love yesterday's card.  I know I did, so I had to make a second one.

I used the same products as yesterday simply switching the colours round.  The pearls in the centre of the smaller butterfly and the Crumb Cake tag are both from Stampin' Up!

Beautiful.

Take care of you.

Stampin' Up! Meets Heidi Swapp

Today I have made a card using some of my favourite products, off course Stampin' Up! is in there and gold, so of course I had to use my Heidi Swapp Minc and accessories.

I used a Sizzix thinlit to make the leaves using glassine, I have mounds of the stuff having made a wedding album.  These were layered under a Heidi Swapp gold embossed tag.  Next I used a retired piece of Designer Series Paper, one of my favourite so I only use tiny bits at a time lol.  I then used a Sizzix Bigz die in Basic Shapes for the large butterfly and Stampin' Up! Butterfly punch for the smaller one.  I used Graphic 45 core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock for both butterflies.  The 'Hi' and 'Love' tags are from Heidi Swapp also.

I finished the card off with Stampin' Up! Gold twine and sequin and gathered some basic white cotton thread to add some effect and dimension.

I hope you enjoy this card as much as I have making it.

Take care of you.

Home Sweet Home Recipe Box

Graphic 45 have the most amazing paper collections to work with.

Last weekend I made this recipe box entirely from scratch.  It was a joy to make, lots of fussy cutting, layering and creating something very special for a very special friend by way of a sincere thank you.

There is an easel on top and this doubles up as the stand for the recipe cards.

Here are a few of the handmade recipe cards too.

And of course there are recipe cards specially for Christmas

and for Halloween baking.

There are nearly 30 handmade recipe cards inside, all decorated differently and all simply wonderful.

Here are some more photos.

And here is the box during construction.

And the mess afterwards lol.

Hope you have enjoyed this happy time.  Please leave a comment, it's lovely to hear from you all.  Take care of you.

Graphic 45 Two Tier Cards

It seems like a while since I have posted onto my blog or have made anything crafty.  There are some new Graphic 45 collections coming out soon and I thought I should try and use up what I have  before I can justify spending more money on new collections.

So today I have drawn inspiration off Pinterest and YouTube and found a fab two tier card, which I loved, so here they are.

These fit nicely into regular C6 envelopes and behind the larger tier is plenty space to write your sentiment.  I have left them blank so they will fit any purpose.

I have used a variety of paper and cut outs from the Couture collection 12x12, 8x8 and 6x6 paper pads.

I hope the new owner loves them as much as I do.

Thanks for dropping by.  Take care of you.

Graphic 45 Meets Stampin' Up!

Hi all.  This week end I have been busy, busy, busy.  First I completed my Mother Goose mini and on Saturday night and today I made another easel mini album.  Although quite simple they still take around 3 hours to make due to all the fussy cutting, layering and assembly.

The background paper is Stampi' Up! and the embellishments are from the 'Couture' collection from Graphic 45.

The frame is cut using my Sizzix Eclips.  The roses are I Am Roses.

All the pages and embellishments have been distressed using Black Soot Distress Ink.

Ever page is constructed from poster board, which is extremely sturdy.

Here I have used the tag top punch and silver ribbon, both from stampin' Up!

This stamp is En Francais from Stampin' Up!, I love this stamp so much.

I still need to attach a Tim Holtz easel to the back so it will stand up alone and I will be embellishing it further will lots of Glossy Accents for sparkle, layers and dimension.

I hope you love this like I do, there are so special to make.

Take care of you.

Mini Album Using Graphic 45 'Mother Goose'.

As you may recall I have been working on a mini album, which I have been making completely from scratch.  It seems likes a long time since I have updated my blog and the reason for this is the Graphic 45 paper I ordered from the USA as there was a considerable price difference so waiting a while longer was worth it.

Part 1 of the project you can find here.

I have started with the mini album and will go back to the storage box later.  Here is what I have completed so far.

Lots of fussy cutting to create layers with the flowers, mini wooden alphas, which I coloured using Real Red from Stampin Up and a mini metal frame I have had in my stash forever haha.  The sentiment I used a Stampin Up oval punch and the gromlets I can't recall who they are from as I have had them also in my stash for such a long time.

Here you can see better the layers.  I also applied Decopatch to the paper as some of the fussy cut parts are very thin and may be easily torn and applying the Decopatch this strenghthens the paper.

All the embelishments have been raised on dimensionals to enable photo to be placed underneath and act similarly as a 'belly band'.

I used a photo corner punch on the photo mat to enable a photo to be placed directly inside with ease.

Again inside this book I have used the photo corner punch on the photo mat.  I will be adding more mini books to enable journalling as this is in my opinion at times more important as you are sharing the story, the feelings and offering insight into what the photos are all about for generations to gone.

This is a flip up page.

This is what I have achieved to date.  I will be adding more very soon.

I hope you are enjoying Wimbeldon and are screaming 'come on Andy' at the tv.  Have a wonderful weekend.  Take care of you.

Mini Album using Stampin Up and Graphic 45.

Yesterday I was inspired by many wonderful mini albums I have recently seen online.  So I made my own and actually I am really proud of how it has turned out.

I used the back of an old glass photo frame, painted in with white gesso leaving it look shabby chic style.  I then used a Modern a Medley collection from Stampin Up for all the background, a Prima tag (also roughly pained with gesso) stamped with En Francais from Stampin Up and Couture from Graphis 45 for all the embellishments.

I used my Sizzix Eclips to make this frame then ran the cream card through an embossing folder to create the pattern.  The embossing folder was from Sizzix and I used a Big Shot, also Sizzix.  The flowers are I Am Roses, which were secured using my hot glue gun.  The oval above the punch is a a Stampin Up punch and the sentiment is from the Couture collection.

The ring binder is from Tim Holtz Ideology collection.  I usually make albums then give them away as presents or as commissions for customers but this one is all mine.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my album and that it inspires you to create something wonderful too.

Take care of you.
