You're The Best

I am so addicted to making cards right now and using both My Favorite Things and my Stampin' Up! products is it any wonder.  Here is one I made yesterday and will be placing this into the MFT sketch challenge, my second entry and I am also submitting it to the new MFT Summer School challenge!

The base is Smoky Slate from Stampjn' Up! die cut from yep you guessed Blueprints 15 large stitched die.  Sweater Knit was then stamped with VersaMark, clear heat embossed then die cut and layered onto the base card.  I used a die from Blueprints 15.

A Stitched Round Rectangle die was used with retired DSP from SU.  A Watercolor Wings butterfly was stamped using 4 layers in Sahara Sand, Mint Macaron, Daffodil Delight then Midnight Muse in the centre.  This  was then die cut using the coordinating die.  A glassine butterfly was then die cut using the 2nd butterfly die from the set, adhered then pearl accents added.  Silver foil paper from SU was then used to die cut a Scribbles, which was adhered only in the centre with Glossy Accents before the butterfly was layered on top of a strip of Dimentionals.

Here is a side view where you can see all the layers.  A white peg from my stash was adhered using a Glue a Dot with a strip of silver foil hearts held underneath.  I used the Hearts Border punch from SU to achieve this.  The punched hearts were then adhered to the card using Glossy Accents.

Inside I again die cut layers in Smoky Slate and Whisper White with stitched dies then stamped a sentiment in Black Archival ink from the Watercolor Words stamp set.  Hearts were then added to embellish, two smaller in silver foil and a larger one using the Itty Bitty punch.  This was embossed silver on Whisper White using a Woodgrain stamp I had left from a previous project.  You can check that out here

As always my envelopes or not left and this one has hearts punched out in coordinating card and paper.  Great fun, I love keeping busy and seemed to have gotten over my blind spot from yesterday without the need for doing gardening, although the garden really needs done lol.

Happy days.  Take care of you.

New Stampin' Up! Goodies

Don't we just love it when Mr Brown has been.

Here is what I have been making with my new products that arrived today.

I also added a die cut butterfly in glassine paper and added a rhinestone to the centre. The butterfly has been raised on Dimensionals as has the "birthday". The "happy" I adhered with a little Crystal Effects on each end and the middle leaving the rest to rest where it naturally wants too. I then added Crystal Effects to the outside of the "happy" and to the butterfly and when dried this will be glossy and gives an additional layer of interest.   A silver sequin and mini rhinestones were added too.

My 5 new products in the above card alone are the new thicker Whisper White card for card bases, pink pirouette ink and card, Watercolor Wings stamp set and die combo, Happy You die set and the Rotary Alphabet stamp.  The card bases were die cut using my Die-maniacs Blueprints 15 die set.

Oh what fun I have had.

First I played with different cour combinations stamping with the 3 different layered stamps.

Then using the middle stamp for the smaller set I stamped onto the larger butterfly so using 4 stamp layering.  I really like the 4 layers, it just adds more depth and interest and I think I will do this every time now.

For the butterfly on the card above I used Pink Pirouette, Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant in case you were wondering. Then I made another.  This is Pink Pirouette and Melon Mamba.

The middle die cut butterfly this time is velum, thicker than glassine, and there are 3 mini rhinestones along the middle.

Here is the inside of both cards.

Oh and Djokovic won at Wimbledon, he was always going to wasn't he ?

Ok, bye for now. Come back tomorrow for another card. Take care of you.

Stampin' Up! Meets Heidi Swapp

Today I have made a card using some of my favourite products, off course Stampin' Up! is in there and gold, so of course I had to use my Heidi Swapp Minc and accessories.

I used a Sizzix thinlit to make the leaves using glassine, I have mounds of the stuff having made a wedding album.  These were layered under a Heidi Swapp gold embossed tag.  Next I used a retired piece of Designer Series Paper, one of my favourite so I only use tiny bits at a time lol.  I then used a Sizzix Bigz die in Basic Shapes for the large butterfly and Stampin' Up! Butterfly punch for the smaller one.  I used Graphic 45 core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock for both butterflies.  The 'Hi' and 'Love' tags are from Heidi Swapp also.

I finished the card off with Stampin' Up! Gold twine and sequin and gathered some basic white cotton thread to add some effect and dimension.

I hope you enjoy this card as much as I have making it.

Take care of you.

Project Life 2015 Album

This week you will know if you follow my blog regularly that I have a new addition to my family.  I say this because the new Heidi Swapp Minc will be so loved this year and forever more it will feel like a member of my family lol.

Ok, here are this weeks pages.

I just had to have a photograph of this glassine gift bag that I made to send the cards I have made to a very kind friend.  I love it I want to keep it but I know giving is what I do best and I just wish that I could see her face when she opens her parcel, it will be a picture for sure.

I took some 2x2 photographs using the Canon Selphy but it chopped the top and bottom off the cards, but that's ok I know what they look like and the album is about creating and recording my memories so not a biggy.

I also made a velum bag, not a glassine one, but loved the hearts.  The velum is from Stampin' Up!

This is the page with the bag folded over.  I love the frames I have made.  I have had these Ikea Ribba frames sitting in the house for about a year, the hoarder in me knew one day they would be useful lol.

This is the double spread.

Well I have had a wonderful weekend crafting.  I hope your weekends have been equally full of fun.

Take care of you.

Handmade Glassine Gift Bag

Happy Sunday.  Today as always is all about gold and having fun creating and giving.

On Friday I made some gold cards with my new Heidi Swapp Minc so today is all about gift wrapping them.

I made the bag from a large sheet of glassine paper, yep you know I'm a hoarder and the stuff I have is pretty refi cultus hahaha. I wrapped the bag using Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper in black, added a doily and some paper flowers that I went round the edges with gold glitter and punched out a gold flower using the Blossom and Pansy punches and Gold Paper, all from Stampin' Up!

I took a journaling card from the Love Story Project Life collection then stamped the sentiment onto it. The sentiment is from the new Spring/Summer catalogue and it's called Hello Life.  I added some sequin to add some sparkle.

I also added a gold peg that I had attached a small charm and a dangle I made using gold, pearl and faux crystal beads onto a gold jewellery pin. It's this added dimension that truly makes a present even more extra special don't you think?

Then I wrapped it all up in black and white twine and it's all ready now to be mailed.

I hope you are enjoying my gold themed projects. It's lovely to hear feedback so please leave a comment down below.

Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. Take care of you.
