Distressed Fun.

Today for the first time in what seems like months I took out my distress inks, Tim Holtz stencils and stamps and just played.  Here is what I came up with.

The charm is from my stash and I used Cranberry Adirindack ink to change the colour and the jump ring.  I punched a hole in the grunge board arrow using my crop-a-dile and attached the charm.  I used my white Signo pen to highlight the writing.

I used Watering Can, Plum, basic black and Sepia Archival ink to stamp with.

Distress inks used are Ripe Persimmon, Mustard Seed and Wild Honey and Barn Door and Plum Archival ink for the heart.

Stamps used are Visual Artistry clear stamps and #hashtagsand Clockwork stencil also by Tim Holtz.

Feels great to have had a little of my mojo back despite having great difficulties seein due to on going eye problems.

Hope you have all had a wonderful Easter weekend.  Take care of u.

Colour Saturation ATC Stampotique Swap April.

Coloured card stock with wax crayons.  I chose to do this corner to corner, but any which way would be good.

I then painted the card with black gesso and left to dry.  Who remembers doing this at school when we were wee?

Using a Tim Holtz stencil I roughly scrapped off some gesso and then drew around the srencil to outline in white using a Signo broad pen in white.

I then stamped 'Smile' out in black archival ink onto card I had inked with Distress ink, using Ripe Persimmon, Mustard Seed and Wild Honey.  I used some clear rhinestones from my stash and using 'Pool' Adirondack ink and a bottle top saturated the rhinestones and then adhered using wet glue onto Smile.

I used my Stampin Up markers to add dimension and colour also using Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Pink Pirouette, Crumb Cake, Pumpkin Pie, Tangarine Tango, Always Artichoke and Garden Green.

I then found a quote I thought was appropriate and wrote it on black card stock, cut out and raised on pop dots.

These will be flying off around the world tomorrow to their new owners, which I hope they enjoy as much as I have making them.

Craft Fair prep

Hi all.  Hope the weekend has been kind to you all.  I have been prepping for a craft fair I am attending later this month.

I made these novelty moustache drinking straws for fun.

I made these two box cards.  And.....

for the boys some Angry Bird lollies with keyring charm.  These actually took ages to put together.n I used a sizzix die and then created all the parts individually.  The keyrings I made last year and have a huge stock to sell so I thought gazing them up a little may encourage this.

For the girls.......

I made these gorgeous flowers then added lollies and Hello Kitty keyring charms.  Here is a picture I took before I added the charms.

So I have a busy old day today but lots of fun.

Take care of u.

Pay It Forward Easter Treats

Hi all.

Well this week I have been working hard on becoming the person I always knew I could be.  I have had intermittent difficulties with chronic depression for many years and sometimes this does become a problem.  However, the power of the mind can also be positive and with lots of emotional ticking of boxes, physical exercise and lots of patience by others I am happy to feel I am once again turning a corner.

So in recognition of the power of positive thought I am starting a 'pay it forward' week.  I am hoping to return to my day job on Monday.  I work with young people who have not always had it easy and some now even have children of their own.  So I have made a whole load of these to leave in reception and people can help themselves.

I wish you all a wonderful week and maybe you will be able to pay it forward.  It's easy even a hello, a smile or sending someone a card may just completely make their day.

Lots of hugs and love, take care of u.

Stampin' Up! Box Cards

I finally managed to get these cute box cards finished.  Aren't they cute?  I have these available as a workshop to make.  The frames on top have been raised on foam to allow a photo to be placed inside.  I love these.

Hope you enjoy them.  Take care of u.
