Gift Boxes Using Stampin' Up!

Yesterday I made what are relatively cheap gifts into something special.  How?  By making really cute gift boxes.

On 26th April I am attending a craft fair in St Andrews and as you know students and visitors are always on the prowl for cheap present due to lack of money and priorities.

The first box I made has two of those posh candles inside, melt tarts and I wrapped them in tissue paper.  I then decorated them with the Sale-A-Bration paper, used both black and navy ink, a flower punch and some rhinestones from my stash.  The sentiment I wanted to keep generic so it can cover a multitude of special occasions.

then made these and found the perfect sentiment too, bwhahaha.  Never let it be said I am stereotyping students with these wee glasses, I bought them simply because I liked the colours, cough, cough, splutter, splutter.  Here I used the design series paper and cardstock, hexagon and flower punch and again some rhinestones.  The sentiment has been adhered with a dimensitional.

I needed to play around with this a bit to get a good size.  The base is 8"x8", scored on all four sides at 2 3/8" and the lid is 8 1/4"x 8 1/4" scored again at 2 3/8".  The two opposing score lines were cut, with a small additional part removed, the size of the score line is perfect, and then adhered to complete.

Here you can see how you will fold the sides in.

Pretty cute, yes?

The candle box was made following another SU demonstrator on YouTube, PootlesPapercraft.

Hope you are having a great day.  Enjoy and take care of you.
