Edinburgh Breast Cancer Moonwalk

My good friend Michelle is walking the Edinburgh Breast Cancer Moonwalk next weekend and she asked me for help with her bra, or in her words to do it for her lol.  Of course I said yes and in true Pollycraft fashion she will get a little more than she asked for.

The theme is Mad Hatter's Tea Party as Alice In Wonderland has a rather large memorable birthday this year.

Here is what it has all turned out like.

I used my Octopode Factory stamps and Derwent Inktense watercolour pencils for the characters. I use a water brush and pick up the ink from the pencil as my preferred way to use them.  After cutting them all out I then covered them in three layers of Mod Podge allowing each application to dry inbetween.

The flowers are made in felt using the Stampin' Up! Bouquet Bigz die with the inside stamen in black card cut many times, rolled then adhered with hot glue.

The cups are from Stampin' Up! Curvy Keepsake Box die with the handle cut off the top and repositioned on the side to make a cup.

The large heart was eyeballed and for the smaller felt hearts I used a Sizzix Basic Shapes steal rule die.

Everything was then adhered to the top hat using hot glue.

Her bra is almost finished but I still have gold bows to add so when I get this done I will post the photos.

I hope you have a great weekend. Take care of you.

Shades of Monochrome

Hi all.  Today I want to share a project I made for my daughter and as Country View Crafts challenge this month is monochrome this is just perfect.

I have made a number of these shades as commissions and they have all been great fun, very girly and completely unique.

The paper used is a DCWV stack "Black and White Stack".  I have also used velum to layer the buttereflies.  I used my Sizzix Eclips machine and a Tonic butterfly punch to make all the templates.  I then added lots of bling and sparkle with the beads and lace.  This lace is very old and was found in a cupboard at my mum's church, so ancient indeed.  It did need to be aired as it was very odourous haha

Why don't you click over to the blog and check out some more fantastic creations:

Hope you are having a fantastic weekend.

The Octopode Factory Weekend

Hi guys.

Last weekend I received some new stamps from The Octopode Factory.   They are a mix between cute, goth and punk haha. Great fun and a lot different from the twee and cutsie stamps you can easily buy.

So having lots of fun I made some cards.

This last card I have entered in The Octopode Factory Friday Challenge which was pink and green. I found this quote and nearly died laughing at the irony of my little Alice In Wonderland and Mick Jagger's quote. So so funny.

I hope you love these cards. They were so much fun the make.
