Tags Or Bookmarks From Stampotique - You Decide!

I had some of my sizzling Stampotique stamps still to use and I didn't want to make a card so I madea couple  of very simple tags.

I had already coloured and cut them out.  The two on the black background were coloured using my Inktense pencils, which I prefer to use with a wet brush.  I'm knew to using watercolours and still very much practicing my technique and I feel using a wet bush and taking colour off the pencil gives me the best control.  The middle tag was inked with my favourite Tim Holtz Distress Inks in yellows and oranges.

The tags, or bookmarks as they are quite big, were the treated to the Dylusions treatment of flowers, dangles and Dyan's quirky quotes using both Distress Ink and Brilliance fast drying pigment ink in Starlite Silver.

The back was also stamped using Stampotique Hearts stamp by Daniel Torrence using Magenta PITT big brush pen from Faber Castell.

Using ribbon and organza were added from my stash to complete.

Take care of you

Monochrome Magic with Stampotique

Today I have been playing with another of my favourite stamps and have gone for a monochrome theme.

I used Relaxin by Stampotique and using my Inktense pencils in Charcoal Grey, Indian Ink and Ink Black I coloured her in.  Just for fun I gave her red lips using Cherry.  For the skin I used Faber Castell Aquarelles 131 and 132.

I then stamped Daniel Torrente's Heart stamp using Barn Door Distress Ink by Tim Holtz.  As you will all know by now I love Dylusions quotes and have a few favourites.  This is one, it is so funny....

They were all adhered down onto black card stock then built up alternatively with white and then onto a white card.

Here is my second card, using exactly the same techniques.

And another....

I love how these have turned out, plain but really striking.

Thanks for stopping by.

Door Hanger

Tonight I have been busy playing with my gelatos from Faber Castell.  As promised I have made something new other than a card and will definitely be making more of these to sell at my Christmas fayre.

The hanger is plywood which I bought from my local craft store.  I used all my pink and purple gelatos then used my PITTbig brush pens to stamp on top. I used Tim Holtz dots first, Hero Art stamp along the bottom and a flower and heart from my Dylusions collections.

I did the back too and stamped using a Dylusions dangle. I then used a purple PITT pen around the edges, stamped out a sentiment, Dylusions of course, and then covered the entire hanger with gloss deco patch glue to seal.

Great fun and fantastic for every young person.

Have a great weekend

Love's Glue Using Stampotique and Dylusions

I love my weekends when I can get all my favourite inks, stamps and pencils out and just get all messy.  Blissful heaven..........

So busy making another card, I love making cards and tags as you get quick satisfaction.  I'm playing a theme just now so same but different blogs....

Ok here it is......

The Stampotique designers challenge have amazing talent on their blog and this week it's a wedding challenge.  Well this is my take on a wedding theme, her dress was only a teenie wee bit pink and almost white and I made the sentiment using a variety of stamps from Dylusions and Lindsay Mason Designs 'Creative Thoughts', which is kinda romantic and cute.

I used Distress Inks blended together then stamped using some of the same colours and others within the same tonal family.

These wee cute stamps I have in my stash and I've had for ages and love getting them out for Valentine's and romantic crafting.

I also had to use the stamps from the stamp goddess herself Dyan Reaveley :) Using the heart dangle and button strand. Both the Daniel Torrente heart stamp and the  dangles were stamped with my PITT big brush pen in Pink Carmine and Distress Inks.  The white circles were created using a white PITT big brush pen and Andy Skinner's stamp from the Tempting Textures collection.

My favourite Moth chick was coloured in using my favourite Inktense and Faber Castell watercolour pencils.

And there she is in all her gorgeous glory with a flower waiting to walk down the aisle to the love of her life as he turns round and their fate is sealed forever in 'that glance'.........

Bump, bump, bump..............  Ok back down to earth.

Hope your weekend is full of love and romance and if not there is always wine :)

Dyan's Dylusions Dangerous Dangles

Hi all, hope the week has been kind to you, never mind not long until pay day now!

Today a very kind postman delivered me a wee package, nnoooo honey I truly don't know how it could be for me.........

Well of course I had to insist that as my name was on the package someone surely loves me so much they sent me a gift.  Ok ok all my fingers, toes, arms and legs were crossed hehe.  Truthfully a wee bargain off Ebay and top quality previously loved and now loved even more by me, stamps.

So a card making I had to go.........

Distress Inks in Tattered Rose, Milled Lavender and Seedless Preserve then Victorian Velvet, Spun Sugar and Shaded Lilac for the accent heart and button background stamps.

Dylusions stamps are Ariund The Edge, Inbetweenies and sentiment is from Say It show It Is.  I also added my own doodles around the page using my Faber Castell PITT artist pen S or 0.3mm.

I then used my Inktense pencils and added some Perfect Pearls in Iridescent Violet for some gorgeous fun lovin shimmer.

Fun, fun, fun.  Feeling less shakey now I have had my stampin fix hehehe.

Take care of you,

Steampunk Spells Project

Here are some pictures from my Steampunk Spells project using gorgeous Graphic 45 collection.

I am entering this on a blog challenge for October "Something Spooky" over at Country View Craft.  You can find there amazing blog over at  http://countryviewchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/its-october-and-its.html

I will keep adding more to the Haunted House as I acquire bits n bobs to help create the scene.

This is the inside of the haunted house. The photo album sits on the shelf perfectly.  The bottles are mini bottles I found at a garden centre.

I used blue acrylic paint to reflect the blue from the collection, Americana Weathered Wood crackle glaze and then black acrylic paint on top.  I LOVE IT, I got so engrossed in watching the paint crack, so much fun and easily amused lol.

.

Lots of hardware, fussy cutting, Glossy Accents and layering on the front cover. So much fun.

All the right hand pages have haunted house shaped pages all decorated individually throughout the album.

On the back of each haunted house there are places to add photos, pockets for keepsakes, tags or mini books.

Every page has lots of mini books for either journalling or have photo mats and everyone is different.  The wings on this page are made from chipboard with a G45 brad and flowers in the centre.

How fun is this page.  Lots of fussy cutting, I used Gelatos on the cog, backed stickers onto cardstock and used lots of the cut outs to add fun.  Bats fly too from elastic thread and the cat and fence border was created using my Sizzix EClips machine with the Holiday cartridge.

Lots of hidden pockets throughout adding interest and surprises.  The lady on the left hiding behind the corset is another mini place to journal.  Chipboard pieces hide throughout and found pulling the ribbon.

Inbetween every page there is space for even more tags and photo mats.  I used black card stock and stamped this to create photo mats for I between all the pages.

Love these pages, so much to find, see and play with.  The spooky tree was also cut using the EClips machine.

The last page has to be something special.  Who wants to run out of steam and at the end it's boring, not me I try and save something extra special, innovative and playful right up to the end. I used a piece of recycled acetate, added clock hands to the cogs and created a pull out page.

I have completed a video and when I get it uploaded I will attach it.

This was such a fun and special album to complete and I hope you find it exciting and full of fun as I have.

Thanks for stopping by.

Purple Princess

Is there anybody out there?  Lol

Good afternoon to my faithful bunch of blogettes hope you are all having a blog tastic weekend.

Today I have been playing with my new Stampotique stamps and having too much fun so thought I should bring it down and put it all into my blog, not that I don't enjoy blogging but hey typing or stamping mmmmmmm hard choice haha xxx

I hopelessly kept forgetting to take pictures so I will have to ramble instead.

I started using all my blue Gelatos blending them in until I was happy.  I'm not a huge perfectionist and happy with my cards being a bit rough n ready, a bit like me haha.

I then stamped using the Hearts stamp and used my big brush pens to ink up.  Being Indian ink they don't smell and you have a wee bit of time before they dry so perfect for stamping.  If you have a large stamp or want to use different colours simply give it a huff and aaaahhhhhh and your good to go.  Pretend your a Spice Girl and you will know wht I mean about the aaaahhhh lol.

Yaaaah I took a photo!  Hearts stamped with the Cobalt Turquoise.

I then used the round stamp from Dylusions using the Pthalo Blue for contrast and added some white polka dots using my white pen.

I then embossed my glamorous gal using black powder and coloured her in with all my watercolour beauties.  I only have a few pink/purple Aquarelles and more Inktense but I usually buy a few singly and new PITT big brush pens every payday :).

I couldn't decide which purple I wanted for the quote so I used all the purples I had in my big brush pens, cut them out and randomly adhered down and drew around them with a white pen.

Ta-da.  Isn't she gorgeous?

Big smiles to you all

Bold and Gorgeous

Oh I wish I was young again.  I would love to have the courage to be this rock chick.  Sex Pistols, Blondie, Ramones and The Cure bring it on........

If you would like to make this card here's what you will need.....

Faber Castell are amazing products, I also use PITT pens, but like these Gelatos I am still building my collection.

I used Coconut, Red Cherry, Tangerine and Mango Gelatos.  These can be quite difficult to find in the UK but they are ssssoooo worth it.  They are similar to lipstick and they are amazing for all kinds of mixed media, art journalling and card making, oh and they go a long way and last forever.

I also love my Aquarelle pencils, water colouring has become one of my favourite loves.  These are 119, 125, 131, 132 and 134.   I love pink and purple and I am kinda stuck in this theme at the moment, but hey it's a lovely colour to be stuck in lol.

I have also been investing in some Stampotique and Dylusions stamps.  They work so well together are completely wacky and I LOVE THEM SSSOOOO MUCH.  These are Daniel Torrente stamps Moth Fab and Hearts.  These are a considered purchase as thy are not cheap but they are so amazing and you will be sure to get soo much fun out of them. The flower is from Dylusions How Does Your Garden Grow and the sentiment, bwhahaha if we can call it that, is from the Say It How It Is collection.  Dyan Reaveley is a creative genius in my books.

I started by using the Coconut Gelato first then randomly placed the other colours.  Using the white helps to blend and move the Gelatos around.  I have used white gesso before and that works great too.

The using your finger, start light to dark and rub and blend.  Add more until you get the depth of colour you want.

I then stamped some backgrounds using the Distress Inks.

I stamped my wee pal using Versafine in Onyx Black.  Any archival ink is fine but as you are using water colour it must be archival so it doesn't bleed.

I used a waterbrush and starting light to dark I blended all the colours.  I let it dry then did it all again to add more depth and help with the shading, I think you need this particularly if your sticking to one colour.  You then need to cut her out, stamp and cut out the sentiment and put it all together.

I used a coral Bazzill cardstock and an A5 card which I cut down to A6.

I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial and are having a stampendous weekend.

Take care of you.
