Stampin' Up! Treats

It's my mum's birthday soon and she loves nothing better than tea with her friends. So I made her 12 treats to share with her 2 besties.

Inside each bag/box are some chocolates and two bags of vanilla chai tea.  They are so cute in real life. I'm going to buy a small picnic basket to put them all in.

I also made a note card to go inside the purse bags too.

Take care of you.

Specially For The Crafty Owl

Today I received a lovely surprise, a wonderful card and some Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!  I don't have any of this and have been swithering whether to buy it or not, and it seems it is now on my list lol.

So here is the card I made just for Joanne.

Some Tip Top Taupe as the base stamping with Sahara Sand on Typewriter Text stamp and Grout Gray on the Dotty Angles stamp.

This is the gold DSP and I die cut a tag and used Bold Butterfly and gold velum with white hammered card underneath.

I added gold sequin from my stash and the sentiment is from My Favorite Things.

I hope you have enjoyed this extra blog and Joanne it had to be the gold just got you as you're precious xxx. See you tomorrow with another card.  Take care of you.

Stampin' Up! Friend Card

Joy isn't just for Christmas is it?  Today's card has been inspired from Pinterest.  I think this design is pretty cool and as it's been left blank inside can be a great birthday, hello or thank you card.

The paper is retired DSP, Designer Series Paper, from Stampin' Up!

All the products except the Tip Top Taupe heart are from Stampin' Up!  For the circle I used a 1" punch, the butterfly is punched from the Elegant butterfly, Joy is from Wonderful Wreath framelits and the wooden circle element was from an embellishments set.

I hope your Monday is not blue but full of joy.  Take care of you.

I Love My Blueprints 15 Die-namics Die Set

Ok, I do have an obsession with my new Die-namics Blueprints 15 die set.  With such amazing shapes and angles it's easy to create something beautiful and I'm loving how my cards are turning out.

I have used retired DSP, Crumb Cake, Sky Blue and Silver Foil paper all from Stampin' Up!  The inner die cut and the butterflies have all been raised on Dimensionals with rhinestones in the centre of the butterflies and on the edges for decoration.

White cotton thread has been used for interest and decoration.

The butterfly is Crumb Cake and velum.  The whole page has also been raised on Dimensionals.

Inside are die cuts using the Stitched Rectangle set also from Die-namics and Sky a Blue card.  The sentiment has been stamped in black Archival ink and raised on Dimensionals with a rhinestone added for decoration.

I'm not sure when my obsession will end but I will try and use some other products do not yo bore you all lol.  Hope your day has been good fun.  Take care of you.

More Die-namics Blueprints 15 Cards

Today I have been playing more with my new Die-namics Blueprint 15 die set.  I'm so in love with these dies.

The sentiment has been stamped with Archival ink in black onto velum which has been secured at the back to avoid glue being seen through the velum.  Pearl accents adhered either side of the sentiment.

The butterfly has been die cut from Sizzix Basic Shapes die in gold foil paper and velum, both Stampin' Up!  The paper is retired DSP and Basic Gray for accent.

A pearl and butterfly adorn the inside too.

Turning the card to the side shows the sequin, rhinestones and silver foil strip along the bottom off great.  The sentiment has been raised on Dimensionals.  These butterflies are silver foil paper and velum also from Stampin' Up!

The pegs on both cards have been adhered to the card with Stampin' Up! glue dots with the butterflies simply held in place with them.

Rhinestones on the inside for decoration.

You can see the silver foil paper really well in this picture too.

Thinking Of You

Today's card is once again retired DSP from Stampin' Up!  I have realised in most of my historical cards I have probably stamped more than used DSP, hence why I seem to have so much of it left lol.

I have used a white peg and lemon card stock from my stash with the wooden heart and pearl accents, along with all the paper and sentiment from Stampin' Up!

I made two with only the main paper having a slightly different pattern.

I hope you have enjoyed today's card.  Take care of you.

Butterfly Delights Cards

For today's post I have taken inspiration from Keisha Campbell on Pinteret who I greatly admire.  Her work I find romantic, creative and completely up to date with respect to card making.

Here are my takes on her card.

Here I used retired DSP and Basic Gray card, which I embossed using my Big Shot.

For the butterfly I first die cut this using the Sizzix Basic Shapes die in pearlised thick cream card and then a layer of velum.  I then added a medium sized rhinestone from Stampin' Up!

I used white ribbon tied together in the middle with some white cotton thread and the adhered using Crystal Effects.  The hexagons were punched using a punch from SU and the large octagon was made using my Sizzix Eclipse machine and are 3".

All the DSP has since retired from SU.  I really need to buy new paper.  I chose to leave the cards all without any specific sentiment so they can be used for any occasion.

I hope today has brought you giggles and smiles.  Take care of you.

Velum Butterfly Card

I have loved making use of velum again and today I have used this to add another layer onto my card.  This paper is retired DSP and I used a 1/4" of Irresistably Yours to add more strength before adding the silver twine from Stampin' Up!

I again used my Dienamics die to create the sentiment having used Tip Top Taupe ink from Stampin' Up!  I then added silver sequin and rhinestones.  The top of the velum I used my Cinch then snipped out to create a notebook effect.  Dimensionals were then added behind to lift this off the page and add interest and layering.

The butterfly was created using the Elegant Butterfly punch from Stampin' Up! and the retired DSP.  This was then layered with Tip Top Taupe and Dimensionals with rhinestones added.

Hope you are having a wonderful day.

Take care of you.

Tip Top Taupe From Stampin' Up!

Today's card continues to make use of Stámpin' Up!'s new 2015/2017 in colours.  I love Tip Top Taupe and find the versatility of this neutral card so wonderful to use.

I have used Tip Top a Taupe to layerwith Irresistably Yours with a tag made using a thinlit from the Project Life die set.  I again used retired designer Series Paper, my favourite so I am very nervous to be using it up lol.  I used my Dienamics die and ran this through my Big Shot a number of times to achieve these angles.  The silver peg is from my stash and added white thread to add layering and interest.  The butterfly was die cut in velum from a Sizzix Basic Shapes die.  I hope you are all having a wonderful day.

Take care of you.

Welcome all to Day 7 of my 'just one' stamp set challenge where I have been using 'just one' stamp set, as the name suggests lol, to create a different project every day.   I have challenged myself with this in celebration of Stampin' Up!'s annual Sale-A-Bration, which runs from 6th January through to 31st March. Ok, back to my final day of this challenge and one of my favourites.

I have made a photo frame using Designer Series Paper from the Spring/summer catalogue and black card.  Then I used Versamark and gold embossing powder with the 'Best Day Ever' stamp raised on foam dots to create layering and texture. The frame and mini note paper I cut out using my Sizzix Eclips machine.

Here is a picture of the background adhered to a cut piece of poster board slightly shorter than the dimensions of the frame.

Here is a picture of it now adhered to the frame. I adhered all the sides but you can chose to only adhere 3 sides leaving the top unglued to enable a photo to be placed in behind.

This is a side view. I made a paper hinge and adhered this to a long thin piece of poster board to create the stand. I then used a piece of gold ribbon and adhered to the back of both the frame and stand using a glue dot.

Here is a picture of the front before its all adhered.

This is a much larger frame I have made. Here I only glued 3 sides leaving the top open and this allows you to change out the background.   I have used one of the filler cards from the Love Story Project Life set from Stampin' Up!

Here are the two frames together.  I love how these have turned out. Simple but elegant and a wonderful way to bring inexpensive home decor to any room in your home.
